Initial Parent Interview

Usually an hour-long discussion about what your needs and goals are, what has been happening in the past, what has been tried.  A time to ask questions and learn about my process and about your family's story.

Initial meeting with your son or daughter

With your permission, we meet with your child alone to get to know them.  It is critical to gain their trust and develop a rapport.  We want to convey that we are part of their team.  Depending on their age, we want them to know that their voice counts.

All relevant paperwork, prior evaluations, school records, physician, psychological, speech pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy and other reports are reviewed and analyzed.  In some cases, timelines are created to demonstrate patterns or create a framework for moving forward.

Discussing the options

We can discuss in person, skype, or over the phone some ideas and suggestions.  Each family brings a unique case.  We will make recommendations based upon your family's needs and goals.

Developing a Plan

Once you have reviewed your options, we will prepare to put the plan in motion.  We will advocate for you at various schools, programs and IEP meetings.  We also want to discuss the long-term expectations of the road ahead.

Critical to success is maintaining our relationship.  We will keep in touch with you and with any program we have coordinated on your behalf.  We are available 24/7 for phone support.  As you and your child evolve, so will your needs.
